West Mayfield Emergency Response & Management

ALL AVAILABLE EMERGENCY UNITS PLEASE RESPOND

We recently heard these chilling words from dispatchers in three states during the East Palestine train derailment on February 3, 2023. The fiery inferno, spewing toxic chemicals, and mandatory evacuations are all tragic consequences for our Ohio neighbors, but let’s remember that this doomed train would have passed though West Mayfield on its way to Conway yards. It’s a sobering thought.

This incident is a reminder of the public safety dangers our community faces everyday. That’s why the borough encourages all residents to take a moment to reflect upon our emergency preparedness.
