CHAPTER 250 Recreation Board
250.01 Establishment.
A Recreation Board is hereby established to supervise and maintain recreation places within the Borough in accordance with the provisions of the Borough Code. (Ord.150, Passed 3-12-60.)
Note: On February 8, 2024, council unanimously passed a motion re-constituting the Recreation Board, chaired by councilmember Janet Helbig. This motion also awarded the community park shelter rental concession to the Recreation Board.

Clean Up Days in the Borough
Our community clean up day is a cooperative project between the Office of the Mayor and community groups such as Community Service Volunteers of West Mayfield and other citizen volunteers. Our first clean up day started in 2022 with just a handful of citizens, but we’ve continued to grow enough to partner with the state’s Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful program, part of the national Great American Clean Up effort.
