Unlike normal correspondence with the Borough, a Formal Complaint rises to a level of seriousness that will be dealt with in a specific manner. Such complaints may be legal in nature (eg, lawsuits, petitions, letters from attorneys), business or professional complaints (eg, filed on behalf of those doing business or providing professional services in the Borough), or citizens may present complaints to Council for any matter they deem serious. 

A Formal Complaint should be a written and signed submission sent to any Borough official. The complainant should specify the reason for the complaint, any and all relevant facts, and specify what outcome the complainant seeks. As a matter of policy, the Borough will consider but is not obligated to respond to anonymous complaints except where anonymity may be permitted and/or protected by law.
