Notice of Council Vacancy
In a Pennsylvania borough, a council member’s primary role is to participate in the governing body that sets policy and makes decisions for the borough. This includes enacting ordinances, managing the budget, overseeing public works, and ensuring the overall well-being of the community. They also act as liaisons to various borough commissions, committees, and departments, and attend community events. In essence, a borough council member is an elected official who plays a vital role in the governance of their local community, shaping its policies, and representing the interests of its residents.
