Public Works Programs

Yard Waste Disposal

Only residents of the Borough may dispose of residential yard waste or clean dirt fill at the Borough's Yard Waste Disposal Area located at the municipal building. Hours of operation: Open.

Authorized materials include:

  • grass clippings, leaves
  • shrubbery, tree cuttings
  • small cut logs and limbs
  • clean topsoil, dirt

    Prohibited:
  • No contractor or commercial building materials
  • No electronic waste, wires
  • No brick, masonry block, concrete slabs or sections
  • No glass, plastics, metal, tires
  • No household materials, drywall, plumbing or electrical fixtures
  • No wooden fencing, lumber, planks, flooring, siding

    • Leaf Collection

    Leaf collection will begin in West Mayfield on October 15.  All leaves must be raked to the side of the road for collection. Leaves placed in bags won't be accepted.
