Homeowners and contractors must call 8-1-1 at least three business days before starting any digging or excavation project, as required by law.
Started in 2022, our community clean up day is a cooperative project between the Office of the Mayor, Council’s Culture & Recreation program, and community volunteers.
To request a park shelter, please complete an online shelter request form or contact the park shelter coordinator. A borough representative will contact you to confirm your request. Requests are pending until the reservation process is complete.

Leaf collection will begin in West Mayfield on October 15. All leaves must be raked to the side of the road for collection. Leaves placed in bags won’t be accepted.

The Borough of West Mayfield requires permits for certain activities which will be conducted/performed within the borough.
The Unified Municipal Schedule of Fees is set by Council, the Office of Mayor, and the Office of Tax Collector. The fees listed herein are subject to change without notice.
The municipal parking lot located on W. 8th Ave. is available as a community space for activites and events, such as farmers markets, rummage sales, food truck and vendor events, community gatherings, fundraisers, and approved private events.

Only residents of the Borough may dispose of residential yard waste or clean dirt fill at the Borough’s Yard Waste Disposal Area located at the municipal building.
Hours of operation: Open.
Authorized materials include:
- grass clippings, leaves
- shrubbery, tree cuttings
- small cut logs and limbs
clean topsoil, dirt
Prohibited:
- No contractor or commercial building materials
- No electronic waste, wires
- No brick, masonry block, concrete slabs or sections
- No glass, plastics, metal, tires
- No household materials, drywall, plumbing or electrical fixtures
