2026 Community Clean Up Day

After being postponed a few times because of bad weather, our 5th Annual Clean Up Day in the Borough was held on June 13, 2026.

Our Clean Up Day events are sending an important message to all residents. “We care about our community. West Mayfield is a nice place to live, and it’s up to citizens to keep it that way,” said Mayor Cogley. “In addition to picking up trash along our roadways, we’re making a difference by showing our fellow citizens that we care enough to do something about it. We’re taking action.”

This year’s crew was a little smaller than usual, but we managed to walk many Borough streets, filling up 16 trash bags, plus wrangling some larger trash items out of the weeds.

Our dedicated clean up crew of volunteers include Cheryl Sudano, Nora Cumberledge-Soos, Councilmember Sue Wood, Margaret McCauley, Sharron Toy, Mayor Licia Cogley, and Councilmember Kevin Farkas.

Join us next year for our 6th Annual Clean Up Day in the Borough in April. Until then, let’s keep West Mayfield looking good!
