Change is coming! In February 2014, council decided to change the name of “Project Rd.” to “West 10th Ave.”
The change is consistent with the current east-west numerical street numbering system north of 37th St., and no resident will have to change their home address.
Long-time residents may recall when the housing plan at the top of 37th St. was called “the projects,” but the neighborhood is now called “Mayfield Village.” Officially, “the projects” no longer exists.
“This change will make it easier for emergency first responders, delivery persons, or visitors to navigate through the borough,” said council vice-president, Bill Heaton.
